IMAGE GALLERY SECTION OF MEDIA PORTAL

What format do the images need to be in order to work with the Media Portal?
The Media Portal will only allow you to upload images in a JPEG format. JPEG is a standard format for both print and web images. Most any software application will allow you to convert and save your images to a JPEG format.
Is there an optimum compression setting for the images?
Yes, but you don't need to worry about this. We've taken care of this for you. Your Media Portal content management system allows you to upload any JPEG image, and it takes care of any necessary settings for you. While the Media Portal content management system will allow you to upload JPEG images of any size... we recommend that you only upload images that are 72 dpi (dots per inch), and at least 472 pixels X 283 pixels in size.

PLEASE NOTE: Uploading images that are more than 1MB in size will take longer to upload... possibly a lot longer to upload, especially if you're utilizing a slower internet connection. The Media Portal content management system will still allow you to upload larger images, but it will require greater patience on your part.
Can I move images from one gallery to another once the image is already uploaded to a specific gallery?
No. Not at the moment. Once you've uploaded an image to a gallery that you've created, there's no way to relocate that image to a different gallery. It would be necessary to re-upload that same image to any additional galleries in which you'd like the image to be featured and viewed.
Can I upload multiple images at once?
es. Just click the ADD ANOTHER IMAGE button in the Media Portal content management system as many times as you'd like. Then choose your files for each upload zone you've created, and then click the master upload button. It's fast and easy.
What are the "Text Captions" for?
Text captions add interest and information to your images, providing a better experience for your online guests.
What happens if I don't enter "Captions" for a specific image?
No problem. If there's no caption entered for a specific image, then your online guest will only see your image (without any caption) if they mouse-over that particular image. It's flexible to your personal preferences.
Can I come back and add "Text Captions" to my previously uploaded images later?
Yes.
Can I rename my "Galleries" once I've already created them?
Yes.
